Comedian and activist Ben Gleib approached me to brand his project the Telethon for America, a bi-partisan event to increase voter turnout for the 2018 mid-terms. At first, it was just him, legendary comedy producer Barry Katz, and a couple of writers. By the end of the week, some of the biggest names in Hollywood turned out for what became the biggest telethon with the intention to raise exactly zero dollars. Michelle Obama's foundation When We All Vote also came on as sponsor.
My job was to quickly design an entire brand identity for this event that would work for the live show, field pieces, social media, press releases, and anything else we hadn't thought of. The project was so successful it was repeated in 2020, using the same branding system.
